Part of the Family??......

So we are so in love with our little dog!! We love it. I really have enjoyed having him to run with, play with, and walk. Spencer really enjoys snuggling with him and playing with him. One of the first things Spencer does in the morning is go sit outside for a little while and rub Boomers head. He is a cutie! We have now had him from 7 weeks. He is getting big fast! When we got him I quickly made the rule that he is NOT aloud in the house. We both agreed. Not that it's wrong to have an inside dog but I did NOT want one. (to much work) On certain nights when it is really raining and stormy I have allowed Boomer to stay in the Laundry room in his travel carrier. (it's big) That was as close as I would let him be "inside" the house.
Last week Spencer decided that he is going to train Boomer to stay on a towel on the tile. It really was a joke! He is a puppy and likes to explore. I told Spencer as soon as he gets off the towel he is outside. 10 min later he was outside. That night Spencer gave me a speech about how I need to give Boomer a chance and let him inside to be part of our family. I didn't agree. He was just fine outside. Spencer worked with him the next night to stay on the towel, it wasn't working. I thought he gave up until I came home tonight to this..........

Yes, it is stormy outside but I am just not wanting Boomer inside. Spencer thinks I am mean. He says he will train him to stay on the tile. (Right.....Just like he stayed on the towel) I was nice tonight and let him try to make it work. Boomer is a very very well behaved dog. He doesn't chew on anything to much, he doesn't bark much, and has never gone to the bathroom inside. He doesn't shed very much which is a HUGE plus. I just am not sold on him being inside. (I have good reasoning)I will admit when Boomer comes and cuddles with me it is hard to say No, he is to cute to get mad at. All I know is.. if I ever go out of town I'm going to come home with Boomer sleeping with Spencer!!! YIKES!!! obviously Spencer and I have strong opinions on this. What do you think?

If that is what it takes...

So a couple months ago Spencer and I got to chaperon our fist stake dance together. We had that opportunity to do that again last night. Spencer was sure to approach the dance a little different the second time. Here is what happened...
First time chaperoning: As we entered the cultural hall some other adult was collecting the youth's dance cards and shook Spencer's hand.I was standing right there but looking in the dance not paying too much attention until I over heard a little of the conversation that went like this...
Man: "Hi, I'm Bro.........(I don't remember)"
Spencer: "Hi, I'm Spencer Forsberg from the Spanish Branch. How are you?"
Man: "I'm doing great. So is this your daughter your dropping off?" (this is when I decided to turn around and pay attention)
Spencer: "Oh NO, this is my wife Marlee." (I turned and shook his hand)
Man: "Oh... I'm sorry... You look so young."
I'm thinking alright is this a complement or how am I suppose to react.
Spencer and I just laughed...
It became weird and we ended the conversation

Last night at the stake dance Spencer made sure we were holding hands hoping that he wouldn't get asked if he was my Dad again. It worked. I guess if that is what it takes for people not to think that I'm in YW's and Spencer isn't my Dad, then heck not a problem.

Yeah Right...

So having Spencer gone this entire week has not been a blast. I miss him tons! This is not the first time we have been away from each other. (our first weekend being married we were apart)Anyways it still is not fun. BUT... with him gone I decided I was going to go to bed early. YEAH RIGHT!!! With the Olympics on??? You have got to be kidding me! Watching the Olympics is the highlight of my day! I LOVE watching them! I have stayed up soo SOOO late every night watching them. I record it during the day and try to watch it all at night. Makes is a late one, but love it!! I really have enjoyed all of it this year. It always impresses me how amazing and talented these athletes are!!

Another GREAT weekend!!

You know we are so luck to have such wonderful family and friends! When we moved to Sierra Vista we were both sad to leave friends and the Forsberg family. It has been so fun to have them all visit! We have had everyone of Spencer's siblings come stay with us. Some more than other, but we will take them when we can! We have had some of our friends come visit too! This past weekend we had a great time with Steve and Laura Jones. Steve was one of Spencer's room-mates in college. When we lived in Phoenix we became good friends with them. We had a fun laughing at the boys college stories and memories. Friday night we stayed up until 2am playing the wii. (thank you Garrick) We got up that next day and had a trip to Tombstone.

The gun show

There is no reason to read this!!!

This past couple of weeks has been a struggle for me. Do you ever have those weeks where you feel like you are doing everything half hearted? I have had problems with that the past 2 weeks. Poor Spencer, he has had to put up with me being frustrated, sad, grumpy, stressed, TIRED, you name it! I am currently working 51 hrs a week and have had problems getting my priorities straight. I was getting everything done but not as good as I would like. I LOVE my job!! Recently it became a struggle getting up every morning at 5:00. I felt dead every afternoon. I LOVE my calling. I have felt like I have been just going through the motion and not reaching out to the Young Women on a personal level. I LOVE working out and training!!! I am having problems being motivated. I have a triathlon this weekend and have not gone swimming since my last one or biked in the past 3 weeks. I have ran every once in a while at a SLOW pace. I just feel like I don't have time and I am to tired. I LOVE reading my scriptures. I have been reading them but not focusing. I find myself falling asleep and always in a hurry. I LOVE my Savior! I have been really trying to remember he knows me best! He has plans for me and I need to live by his time table not mine. I have vented to Spencer and actually become very emotional. It makes me so frustrated! I know I can get it all in but I had to figure how to do it ALL my BEST! I decided to try to change my mind frame. I am trying to focus on what I am doing at that second and not what else I need to do that day/week. This week has started off great and is going to be as good as it can be without Spencer here. He flew out tonight to California for a work conference. I am already missing him. Anyways, thanks for letting me vent. I know I will figure it out and that things will work out perfect. I love to be busy and will work it out.

We LOVE visitors!!

This past Thursday my Brother and Sister-in-law came and stayed with us for the weekend. Friday the boys got up early went golfing and as soon as they got back we spent the rest of the afternoon at the cove. (indoor water park)We had a great time jumping off the diving boards, playing in the waves, going down the slides, and sitting in the hot tub. Saturday we had a fun little hike planned and were also going to go see the caves. (you actually get to climb, get dirty, ect.) When we arrived to the caves they were blocked off because of the rain. It had been flooded. We decided to just go up to Garden Canyon play in the water and have a picnic. I took lots of pictures but I can't get them off my brother's camera. (mine was dead)We had a great time and we are looking forward to our friends Steve and Laura coming this weekend.
