Christmas Tree Tag

So my Sister in law had a good idea to have everyone put a picture of there Christmas tree on there blog! I love to look at trees so feel free to post a picture. This tree is a special tree. It's actually one of my Mom's trees. (Our tree is very cute and little) This tree has hand made stockings that my Grandma made. On every stocking it has a name of someone in my parents family. (all the kids, in-laws, and grand kids) The other ornaments on this tree my same grandma made for each of her grandchildren. My Grandma found an old torn doiley (sp?)from my great great grandma. She was going to get rid of it, but my Mom asked for it and cut the good pieces out and made ornaments. Aren't they beautiful?

BEAUTIFUL RUN

On Saturday I really got to enjoy the nice fall weather. I ran in a 15K (9.3miles) race. The weather was so nice in the morning. It is not the normal fall weather in the afternoon. (seems to be a lot warmer than normal)Anyways it was a fun run with nice hills, flats, trails, road, ect. My Mom and Sister-in-law joined me in the adventure. We did it for fun because we have not been doing much distance training.

I ended up 1st in my age group (20-29): 2nd overall for girls: 6th over all. My time ended up being 1:15. (8 min/mile pace) I do have some gound to pick up! Especially compared to you Sammy!!

Mom the the 2nd Lady in and ran the entire time!! We were proud. (she did the 2 mile run)

I've been tagged!

Jamie tagged me so, here goes:
(All I ask is that you try not to think badly of me and judge me too much!)

The rules:
A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

1. I don't like then water is left on the sink from washing your face. Weird I know! Ask my old roomies and Spencer. I just hate going in there and getting water all over your shirt from leaning over the counter to do something.
2. I don't like when somebody is sniffing there nose behind me in church, store, school, ect. I don't mind the little sniffs, but the big sniff where you can hear everything really is not attractive.
3. I am not a big fan of recycled air. That sounds weird but any breathing that is really close can't be healthy for you. I hate sleeping and knowing that the air Spencer is breathing out is going right back in me. We sleep facing the opposite directions or one heard higher than the other. I don't like breathing hot air.
4. I am not a big fan of doing dishes when the food is hard on the plate of bowl. When you are done rinse off your dish or at least put water in it so it doesn't become crustified. (word or not I like it)
5. I hate the laundry sitting in the basket!! It makes the clothes very wrinkly. As soon as the dryer goes off I get them out and lay them our over the bed or couch. Or you can fold them:)
6. I hate when I can't find chap stick! I like it on my lips. They dry and cracked feeling not my favorite.

I "tag":
Who ever wants to do it!

I would like to apologize!

I am sorry that you have to listen to Vanilla Ice every time you get on our blog!! It makes me want to scream! To say the least we are a little sick of it. I wish I new how to change it but Spencer and I can't figure it out, because we can't remember what password we used to get the music! We will figure it out. (i hope) Please let me know if you have any suggestions! Thanks again and I apologize!

Wonderful Weekend!!

This past weekend was a lot of fun! We drove up to Casa Grande and met up with a bunch of family and friends for another Triathlon. It was a shorter tri that most. The swim was shorter 400 meters (sounds easy but... try it) 10 mile bike (which is usually longer) and a 3 mile run (which varies from 3-3.5). Although Spencer and I wished to have gone faster in the swim and bike we still managed to get faster times then the past. (considering the different distances) It was fun to be able to join Justin (my bro) for his first tri. He did awesome!! My sister in law Jessica and my friend Jamie also did it with us! We all were pleased with our performances and enjoyed doing it! Spencer and Justin both finished in the top half. That was both of their goals. I actually finished 1st in my age group and 6th overall. After the tri we went to Phoenix to pick up our bedroom furniture!! YEAH!! (22 days until we move in) I love it and I am VERY excited to sleep on my new bed!! (I haven't had a good/new bed before)Then that night we got to spend time with some of the Forsberg family. We watched the ASU game(which was terrible) ate dinner and watched a movie. Sunday morning came fast, we had to leave early so Spencer could get back for his meetings. It was just a fun weekend spending time with our family. We are looking forward to the holidays.

Not an Normal Run

This past Saturday I ran in The Bisbee Stair Climb. It sure was a difficult but a fun run! This takes place every year, so I hope some people will join me next year! This year they had just under 2000 people participating. My Sister Allison and a close friend Jamie did it with me this year. It is a 3 mile run and 1000 stairs between. The hard part was the LONG stair climbs (which are all different sizes) and the up hill running! I would look up some of the stairs and think where is the end.... It took me 43 min to finish. I got 3rd in my age group and 8th over all for the females. Like I said it was hard but fun.

Counting Down!!

YEAH!! Our house is almost done! They just painted the inside yesterday and we hope that the outside gets done this week. The doors are in, the windows, base boards, shelves, and the drive way and walk ways are cemented. It is exciting! They gave us the closing date, to get the keys Nov. 27th! We are excited.

Batter Up...

Spencer and I have kept our night busy since we moved here. Usually twice a week we spend at the softball fields. (nothing new for either of us) Spencer is playing on a softball team and loving it. His team got 3rd place over all in the season and is getting ready for the season tourny. As soon as we lose 2 times we are out:( I actually enjoy watching him play and going to the games. It's fun to go cheer and also socialize with my sister, sister-in-law, cousins and friends. All the cousins and family put a team together so it's really fun. (plus we are all around that same age) Spencer has come very close to hitting it over but the fence seems to always get in the way!

So.. I have a Story...

Well here is a story for you all. On Wednesday I was home a lone doing some trainings. I had started some laundry that morning before my first client. Most of my clients come to my house but I have one on Wednesday where I go to her work. As I was trying to hurry to that appointment I realized that the laundry was still in the washer and I need to put it in the dryer before I left. After changing it, I went to turn the light off and out of the corner of my eye I saw a SNAKE!! It was coming from behind the dryer into the pantry. So I went frantically looking for a shovel so I could chop off its head. I had to hurry and look for one because I was scared that I would lose the snake. of course I couldn't find one close. I didn't have time to run to the barn. I hurry and call my Dad at work. This is how the conversation went, "Dad there is a snake in the house, where is a shovel so I can kill it?" He quickly answered before I even could finish the sentence, "Call Grandpa, I am in a meeting." I obeyed but nobody was home. I was still in the Laundry room watching the snake. To be honest I didn't care at this point if my Dad was in a meeting or not. So I called him back!! "Dad, Grandpa is not home. What do I do? I have to be at work in 5 min." His response was "I am in a meeting I have to go! I guess there is nothing you can do." Right at that moment I lost sight of the snake. I started moving everything looking for the stupid thing. I could not find it so I just went to work. My family couldn't believe I didn't shut the door to the laundry room before I left. I thought about it but it was as skinny as a pencil and would have just gone under it. So my Dad closed the door and stuffed the rug under it, in hope that it would not be able to escape. Well yesterday, I was waiting for a client to show up and I thought I heard her come in the back door. As I went to greet her I saw the snake again! It was half out of the laundry room headed out to the hallway. My first thought was I got to get it this time! That is when I could tell it was a little Gardner snake. So the first thing that came to mind was grabbing a spatula and chop his head off. So I went in the kitchen and found my Mom's big metal flat end spatula. I went back there in a hurry. I must have scared it so it turned around headed back into the laundry room. I hurried and grabbed another spatula. The plan was to stab the end of the snake and then slide it out from under the door then have the other spatula to chop the head off. (I am home alone again)Well I stabbed the tail that was hanging out of the door. Right as I did the head quickly came from under the door and bit the rug.(LUCKY ME)It was mad!! I tried to hurry and slid the snake out, but as soon as I pulled it back the snake pulled his tail out from between the grout and spatula. It went so fast under the sliding door to the laundry room. I ran and got newspaper and stuffed the bottom of both sliding doors. At this time I am praying my client doesn't walk through the door as I am trying to kill a snake. I hurried and called my dad. He said he would be home soon and we could try to kill it. From that time on I sat on the floor in front of the door and made sure that snake didn't get out. It would put his head out then see me and go back in. I literally folded my clothes there, wrote in my journal, ect. My Dad came home like an hour and a half later. I told him what I did and then he said this is the plan... "You pull the spatula out and then I have this sticky stuff that we will put all around the hole so when he comes out he is stuck!" So I listened to my Dad. No joke, I pulled the spatula out with the newspaper and the snake comes out at full force! I screamed, my Dad tossed the sticky paper on the floor and kicked it the direction the snake was going. It barely got the snakes head! Then when I realized it was stuck I flipped the rest of his body onto the sticky board. I finally caught the stupid snake!! It was the highlight of my day. It was just a baby Gardner snake, over a foot long and was as skinny as a pencil. We have not seen many snakes around here. Who would have thought I would find one inside!

The highlights from our past weekend

We had a very eventful weekend. On Friday we attended our first Spanish Branch Fiesta. It was was a party!(we attend the Spanish branch, Spencer got called to be the 2nd counselor in the branch presidency) There was tons and tons of YUMMY food, we danced, broke a pinata, and did a lot of socializing. Well socializing for some! I don't speak really any Spanish so I am trying to learn. Right when I walk in to door to the church i was greeted very nicely! The thing was he went off and I am guessing ended with a question. I was lost for worlds and just said hold on. Being a dork and just not telling him "I don't speak Spanish," I put up my finger like hold on. I went and got Spencer and told him what happened. Spencer just explained that I don't speak Spanish and asked what he said. Well not realizing it he just asked be "How I was doing." Not even hard, I totally could under stand it. I was just so concerned that I couldn't understand what was said before I just freaked out. Spencer and the Brother got a good laugh. Then I answered him in my wonderful Spanish. Then Saturday morning we got up and went to Phoenix. We got there just in time to eat lunch, relax for a while before we had to leave for Spencer's 2nd triathlon. He did this one with his sister. They both did great. He beat his last time by 7 min and is hoping to get faster on the one we are both doing in November. This triathlon was a backwards one (run, swim, bike) usually its swim, bike, run. Like I said he did great. I enjoyed cheering him on, probably as much as Spencer's family enjoyed watching me. That night we ate the best pizza ever. Sunday morning we left early so Spencer could get back for meeting. Sunday was a great day. It was my fist time with the young women. (I am the YW Branch Representative) It was really nice to have them help me with my Spanish. I have a funny story about young women's but will have to check with Spencer to see if it is appropriate for the blog. That was our eventful weekend. It sure was nice to see the Forsberg Family!

One Down and an Eternity to go!!!

Top 10 Reasons Why I love Spencer
1. He ALWAYS makes me laugh
2. Constantly thinking of others
3. Puts his family first
4. Treats me like a queen
5. Loves to share the gospel
6. He is always pushing me to do better
7. Sets an example by reading his scriptures every morning and saying his prayers
8. ALWAYS looks for the positive in every situation
9. Works hard
10. Looks good in Spandex!! (Had to put that in there)

I can't believe it! It has been one year for Spencer and Marlee Forsberg! It has truly been the best year of my life! Spencer and I were reminiscing today about well last year at this time we were..... Getting dressed, taking pictures, ect. It blows my mind to think that that was a year ago. That day marked the beginning of a new life for the both of us. This may sound weird but... When I was teaching a Young Women’s' Lesson about temple marriage and what it's like to fall in love it was hard for me to explain to the girls. I remember in one of my institute classes thinking of how awesome it will be to really fall in love with someone. It is totally better then I even expected! I love that I get to wake up with Spencer every morning, eat most of our meals together, and be best friends! I was so lucky to meet such an amazing guy! He always is so willing to serve me any way possible! The thing I love most is continuing to learn more and more about each other. This past year I have fallen more and more in love with Spencer! He is my beat friend and I wouldn't change anything about him!
