Pure Craziness...

So last Saturday this started...

Then it started to look like this...

Then on Friday it looked like this....

Another fire started that day... (Antelope Fire)This fire was very close to the house. We actually had to evacuate our house. BUT... We weren't home, we were at the hospital having a baby! What a wild day it turned out to be. Since we were in the hospital I didn't know exactly what was going on except that nurses and doctors were going in and out because they were having to evacuate there homes. During all the mess we had a beautiful baby girl. We named her Makenzie which means born of fire. We thought it was fitting with everything going on.
Anyways, the birth is the previous post. We have really enjoyed having her here in our family and LOVE her so much! She is a great baby.
Luckily on Saturday we were able to have a home to come home to. Now the fire looks like this... (out our front door)
It has been really crazy around Sierra Vista. A lot of homes have been lost and a lot of people evacuated. The hotels here or towns around are full. The shelters are full. We hope that we see it become a little more contained, but REALLY appreciate all the work people have done to help. We really appreciate all the firefighters, police officers, boarder patrol agents, and anyone else that are working so hard to save homes and control this fire. They are all in our prayers!

A Little Late....

So Tuesday June 14th was my due date. We were so excited and couldn't wait for her to join our family. Tuesday went by... Wednesday went by... Thursday went by... Then the phone rang. Thursday afternoon we received a phone call from my Doctor saying that I could be induced Friday morning if I was interested. We decided to go ahead and get induced. So Friday morning Spencer and I got to the hospital around 5:30. We got settled in our room and they ended up not starting the potocin until around 9am. At 3:31 she was born. She weighted 7lbs 9 oz and was 18 3/4 inches long. The delivery went well and most importantly she was healthy.
This is my Doctor or was my Doctor. She is retiring in December!!! I am so sad! He delivered both girls and is an AWESOME Dr.
As soon as she was born I started to feel yucky. The rest of that day I was vomiting and had head aches, body aches, and was totally out of it. Luckily that night I finally began to feel better and got to hold my baby. That's when we decided we better come up with a name for this little baby. Before we went to the hospital we narrowed the names down to Emilee or Brooke. Earlier that day my sis-in-law text us and gave us a few names that she liked but also had something to do with fire. With the fire and everything going on we decided to name her Makenzie (born of fire). It is perfect for this little girl. To be honest Spencer has always loved the name Makenzie, I have never been "in love" with it but I liked it. now, I love it! We got to come home Saturday night. Luckily we had a house to come home to. We were asked to evacuate on Friday but they let our neighborhood return home later that night. Makenzie is a very good baby and so far she sleeps great at night. Madison is doing pretty good with her. She is still learning how to be soft and how to be gentle. I'm sure things will be changing once it's just us 3 girls at home. I'll let you know how that goes.

Oops...

So I have been trying to have this baby for some time, on Saturday I mopped the floor on my hands and knees, went on a bumpy rhino ride, did jump squats, went running, etc. Anyways... the purpose of this post is my poor little Madi was playing while I was running on the treadmill. She decided to put on her Daddy's work boots and tripped landing on the treadmill. Luckily I had just finished and turned it off. She still managed to get her cheek and nose. It looks good in this picture. (2 days later)
She is also showing you her boo-boo on her thumb. She got a nice slice helping me dust.

Easter Dress

So remember we couldn't take Easter dress pictures because she had chocolate all over it? Well, she wore it to church a little while ago so we took pictures. This is how they all turned out! She is such a little pistol when it comes to taking pictures. (who am I kidding she is always a pistol)
Say Cheese...

Okay, just kidding just smile...

Never mind, Let's try to just stand there...

She was eating those apples and when I tried to take them... yep she won! She still looked cute even though she is so silly! oh.. guess what, That dress was mine when I was little. My Mom made it for me when I was 2. My sisters all had the same dress just a different color. I thought it was perfect for Easter!

Random Cuteness

She is getting so big! I can't believe how fast she has grown up. Everyday she learns something new. We love her so much and enjoy playing!
This is her new bike that our neighbors gave to her. She loves it!
Is she in style or what? Beautiful bed head, my glasses upside down, talking on the phone, she loves wearing our shoes.
It makes me laugh how well these two get along. She LOVES this little guy. It actually makes me sick how she interacts with him sometimes. (ex. sharing a popsicle, drinking out of Boomers water, eating his dog food, putting his tail in her mouth, kissing each other on the lips, etc.)
She is such a good girl! She loves playing, singing, swimming, climbing, eating, and her Daddy.

Bryna Time....

On Thursday we spent the day in Sahrita with my cousin Bryna and her little guy Cole. We had so much playing with the turtles and had a great time swimming.
Here is Bryna, Cole, and Madison getting ready to go down one of the kid water slides.

This place was awesome!! It had a nice size family pool, lap pool, kids pool, and 4 big water slides, and a kids area with 4 slides, a huge bucket that dumps water, and all other fun water activities.

Next to the pool they also have lots of parks. The train was a favorite for both Madi and Cole.

It was so fun to see Bryna! We have always been close cousins and we hope to keep our kids close too! Madi and Cole are 3 months apart and our next babies will be around 4 weeks apart. How fun is that? Love you Bryna and it was so fun to visit!

Boots...

This little girl has a loves shoes. She always wants them on and gets really excited when she gets new shoes. She recently grew out of her size 4 shoes and is not in a size 5. We were lucky enough to have some hand me down shoes that I got out. We had to try on every pair of shoes and then show Daddy. Out of all the cute shoes that "fit" these are her favorite. My sis-in-law gave these to us, so I have been saving them for her.... when she fit in size 7! I would have to admit she looks cute and walks/runs great in them. (especially for being so big)
They have worked great in the backyard with all the dirt....
Perfect to wear swimming....
She got lots of compliments at the store...
But... NOT for church!
She loves these boots.
