Friday: That morning Spencer and I set out to get some bagels for breakfast which turned into an 8 mile walk!! It was enjoyable to say the least. As we were headed back to the hotel the clouds began to build up and started to sprinkle. Spencer was so so sad and scared. Not because of the rain but because he was suppose to go to the Cubs game with his Dad in a few hours. I felt bad for him but did laugh, he was like a little kid just looking out the window at the hotel praying for the rain to pass. He didn't talk or anything. The rain came down hard and for a long time. He and his Dad decided to head down to the stadium and see what was going on. After a 2 hour delay they got to enjoy the game.

While the boys were at the game, Diana (Spencer's Mother) and I hung out in the hotel. I spent a good 2 hours in the gym: walking/jogging with some weight lifting. (yes I LOVED it) After we had a good time reading, writing in my journal, looking up directions to other places we wanted to visit, and just relaxing. As soon as the boys got home from the game the rain came down hard again. After hanging out in the hotel more (waiting for the rain to slow down) we went to a fancy place for a yummy dinner.

It sounds like you guys had fun. I am so glad that it stopped raining for Spencer and his Dad. I can't wait to see you this weekend and here the whole details of the trip. you leave me in anticipation for what is going to go on the rest of the time.
